maurice-does-software-n-photos.info
This website is itself a sample of my web design work. I chose a muted color pallette of grays for their consistency between various monitor types, for easy reading, and to allow my photography work to stand out that much more prominently than they would against non-neutral colors. Page content is loaded in quickly & dynamically with AJAX, & retaining modular, lightweight code in the absence of Javascript through the use of server-side PHP scripting. Extensive use of the latest CSS3techniques add to the visual appeal of the site. Secure and dynamically validating contact forms also allow visitors to inquire and comment.

Coding for Sniff Design
These are a few sites that I coded for Sniff Design.

Elizabeth O'Keefe Photography
I coded this website for Sacramento State University Alumni Elizabeth O'Keefe to display her past work & advertise her photographic skills. She showed me the photographs she wanted to use & explained the aesthetic she was aiming for. I created the layout & coded the pages.
The site included 4 total pages, based off of 2 visual templates, which can be reused at a later point to add pages to the site. I coded the entire site using XHTML 1.0 Strict, the most recent fully functional html standard, & it displays consistantly across current versions of the major web browsers (Internet Explorer 7 & Firefox 2 on Windows Vista). This site was a relatively simple job, finished in 2 weeks.

erica.allyson
I coded this website for Sacramento State University Graduate Art Student Erica Carter, to display her work & advertise her services as an artist & wedding planner. She had the content & aesthetic planned out ahead of time. I did the planning & coding necessary to make the site functional (deciding where to splice images, how best to achieve certain "overlap" effects), as well as expandable, allowing new content to be added as her career blossoms.
The site included 6 total pages, based off of 2 visual templates, which can be reused at a later point to add pages to the site. I incorporated mouseover effects into the portfolio & main weddings pages using javascript. I coded the entire site using XHTML 1.0 Strict, the most recent fully functional html standard, & it displays consistantly across current versions of the major web browsers.
